Centrepoint Arcade
Situated in the heart of Bourke St Mall Melbourne, Centrepoint Arcade appointed Air Control to undertake the air conditioning fit-out services for an internal level intended for new inner city commercial offices.
As part of the fit-out Air Control de commissioned and removed the existing faulty vertical mounted water cooled packaged air conditioner as it was evident compressors and other major items had failed.
Utilising the existing condenser water loop fed via cooling towers on the roof plant, Air Control installed a series of new Temperzone water sourced heat pump units. Utilising the existing duct work that was in good condition Air Control adapted to the supply and return air duct work, in effect eliminating unnecessary costs.
A new condenser water flow and return pipe work system was installed to feed the Temperzone heat pump units and then connected into the main condenser water riser.
A new mechanical switchboard with new isolation and protective devices was installed in conjunction with new electrical power supply for each system.
Controls and temperature sensing are provided by factory made Temperzone programmable controllers and fitted to each individual system.
Completing the project with a combination of condenser water balancing, air balancing and detailed commissioning Air Control have successfully provided a cost effective package to cater for the new occupants of well appointed inner city commercial office.
